HWH Leveling Hydraulic Fluid Level
Published November 14, 2007

To properly check the fluid level in a Country Coach with an HWH system we need all the hydraulic cylinders completely retracted. You also want to locate your HWH slide out pump (pictures attached). With all the different room mechanisms out there it is kind of confusing to figure out which way to check the fluid as some cylinders may be completed retracted when the slide room is "out". Here is a simple rule of thumb:
If the mechanism is mounted to the WALL the room must be OUT to check the fluid level, if it is mounted to the FLOOR or under the FLOOR it must be IN to check the fluid.
Here is a couple of examples:
-
2007 & 2008 Magna/Affinity-All Lengths
-
Front living room slides are both "Wall Mounted X-Slides"-Slides Out to check fluid / retract mechanism
-
Bedroom drivers side "bed" slide is "Floor Mounted Slide"-Slide in to check fluid/retract mechanism
-
In fact all bed slides that are hydraulic are "Floor Mounted Slides"
-
Bedroom passengers side "TV / dresser slide" is "Wall Mounted X-Slide"-Slide Out to check fluid / retract mechanism
-
2002 Allure/Intrigue-All Lengths
-
Front living room slide(s) are "Wall Mounted Serpentine Slides)-Slides Out to check fluid/ retract mechanism
-
Bedroom drivers side "bed" slide is "Floor Mounted Slide"-Slide in to check fluid/retract mechanism
-
1999 Allure/Intrigue-All Lengths

In 1999 the Allure and Intrigue only offered a single slide. This was a below Floor Mounted
